Adnan Al Sharif’s work
is surrealist, and includes symbolisms of Palestine. He refuses to
explain his symbols or title most of his paintings. In his opinion,
if they are not perceived as visual messages than they are not
paintings. His most recent work utilizes visual material found in
his immediate surroundings.
Photographic essays and
photo-collage are arranged to show the viewer the specifics of these
surroundings, and their abstract qualities.
