Masterpieces of
the Islamic Museum of al-Haram al-Sharif (al-Aqsa Mosque )
Jerusalem By Dr. Marwan F. Abu Khalaf : He was born in
Palestine in 1949. He studied Archaeology at the universities
of Amman, Oxford and the Sorbonne and has published numerous
articles about Archaeological sites in Palestine. Since 1977,
Dr. Abu Khalaf has held lectures in the occupied territories
and Saudi Arabia and he is currently a professor at the
Institute of Islamic Archeology in Jerusalem. The author
presents in his fine printed book a thorough study to the many
precious manuscripts of Al Aqsa Mosque and the Doom of the
Rock, which are exhibited in the Islamic Museum of al-Haram
al-Sharif. These valuable manuscripts, donated to Al Aqsa
Mosque during various Islamic periods, are regarded by all
means a collection of artistic masterpieces.
