The Muslim community has
been the target of hates crimes for years but since September
11 it had increased to a
number of nearly 1,000 cases of hate crimes targeted against
Muslim community. The
media and the biased information published by mayor newspapers
is the cause of this.
Muslims and
Arab-Americans are very concerned about blacklash attacks aimed at
them
from angry people who
think that Muslims had something to do with it.
After almost two months
of the attacks many Muslims were threat and assaults were
committed against
Muslims in US.
A Muslim man was killed
in US. In Washington D.C. area other cases were reported.
A Muslim taxi driver was
assaulted in Virginia. Schools and Islamic organizations were shut
down after they received
anonymous threats in North Carolina. In Colorado a mosque was
threatened with arson.I n
Texas the windows of a mosque were shot out by gunfire.
