located at 10.5 km south of Nazareth. It was occupied by Israel in
May 24, 1948.

The population in 1945 was 619 Muslims and Christians. The number of
houses was 75.
In this village, it was possible to see the Canaanite town of ' Ayn
Dur that was probably situated on Tall al-Ajjul or Kherbat al-Safsafa.
The village hold an elementary school for boys founded by the
Ottomans, but it later was closed during the British Mandate. One of
the notable people from town was Shaykh Tawfiq Ibrahim, a leader in
1936-39 rebellion against the British. According to a Palestinian
historian Walid Khaldi, the village remains are many partially
ruined walls stand on the village site, date, down palm, fig, almond
trees.
