Occupation date: 29th-30th of May 1948.
Nuris inhabitants were completely ethnically cleansed.
The
village has been completely defaced.
Crusader referred to the village by Nurith. It has an elementary
schoola for boys founded by Ottomans in 1888. There was a mosque.
There were several springs north of the village, the most important
was ‘Ayn Jalut one of the largest springs in Palestine.
Next to the village, the Mamluks triumphed over the Mongols in the
decisive battle of ‘Ayn Jalut. In 1596 the population as 88, in 1931
( 429) and 1945 (570).
The
Arab’s land ownership was 6,247, Jewish 0, and public 9.
