More than 170 Palestinians were killed in the last two months by the
Israeli army of occupation in the towns, villages and refugee camps
of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Special Israeli units of
assassination squads, known in Israel as Duvedan, had multiplied
lately its deadly operations of summery execution of Palestinian
defenders of their people. These extrajudicial executions are widely
condemned by the international community and human rights groups
everywhere, including in Israel.
Wanted Palestinians are normally liquidated on orders from the high
political Israeli level, including the prime minister and the
minister of defense, by the Duvedans’ killers inside their homes
before the eyes of their family members, or in crowded streets and
cafes of occupied Palestine.
In certain cases, as Friday’s attack on Tammoun and Jenin refugee
camp, the targeted Palestinians fight back with rifles, but
eventually they are overwhelmed by endless columns of Israeli tanks
and armoured vehicles, as well as American made Apache helicopters,
and consequently executed or had their bodies torn apart by the
invaders.
As the banging of the drums of expected USA war on Iraq grows
louder, the Israeli massacres against defenseless Palestinians
multiply amid the world’s preoccupation of the news reports on the
latest American buildup in the region.
Having the preparations for this unjustified American oil war on
Baghdad as Washington’s first priority, President George W. Bush
talked obliquely on Friday about his initiated “road map,” which he
refrained from making it public for months to give Sharon more time
to keep Israel’s dirty war against the Palestinians through daily
massacres and bloody military incursions into the devastated
Palestinian towns and refugee camps.
Accordingly, the Palestinian leadership in Ramallah, the capital of
the 2and ½ year bold Intifada, voiced on Saturday great alarm over
the apathetic silence on part of the world community toward the Nazi
war of genocide in Palestine by the fascist triumvirate: Sharon-Movaz-Ya’alon.
The leadership warned the government of Israel against its massacres
and ware crimes being committed around the clock in every
Palestinian locality at the hands of its terrorist army of
occupation, as well as the hordes of Jewish settlers. The underlying
theme of this warning was that the Palestinian people wouldn’t give
up their just struggle against occupation, meaning that the Intifada
had entered the minds and souls of all Palestinians.
