Transgressions, Feelings, Reactions by The Black Pen (H.T.M) Tamer
Kids Speak Out
A few days after the resistance
operation, carried out in Israel by a resident of Aida camp on
29/1/2004, the barbaric Israeli occupation forces rushed the
camp to pursue the martyr’s dispatcher and to demolish the
martyr’s family home. This operation continued for many hours
till his home was found and demolished.
Unfortunately, the confrontational infringement did not stop at
Aida camp, but continued into dehesheh (the camp where I live).
It was around midnight of the first day of Eid Al Adha. The IDF
roamed the camp searching houses and arresting a number of
youths and men from among the residents… I was awakened by my
mother.
- “Get up and turn your computer on right away,” she said.
Reluctantly, I got up and did as I was told. She then instructed
me to erase everything pertaining to the current political
situation.
As you know I keep all my articles on my computer. Including
pictures of the Church of Nativity during its siege, as well as,
pictures of Bethlehem when it was reoccupied by the IDF. I also
had pictures of Mohammad Addurah, Eiman Hijou and many more
child victims -under the age of 15- that I had painstakingly
collected from the internet, from friends and from the news in
the hope of writing a comprehensive article about the martyred
Palestinian children... Forgotten by the world…. Alas, I had to
erase all the files pertaining to the situation… all this just
in case! In case our house were to be rushed by the IDF my
computer would be searched, in which case any of the following
scenarios may take place:
a- They may arrest and imprison
me.
b- They may smash my computer
and/or my head
c- They may confiscate my computer
d- They may wreak havoc in the
house or demolish it
e- Or they may interrogate me
Luckily, the IDF left at 5AM and never came to our house. The
next day at 12 noon the Occupation Forces renewed their
penetration of Aida camp, after having allegedly confirmed the
identity of the martyr’s dispatcher. His house was surrounded,
he was killed in his home and the home was demolished.
Needless to say, I was grieved by all that had happened… Homes
desecrated…women defiled… houses demolished… souls murdered…AND
THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS… The children of Palestine reproach the
angels of justice, as well as, all of humanity for delaying
justice and peace… bewildered tears await the answer… grieved
hearts ponder bliss… Palestine hopes against all hope for
assistance… I grieve beyond the sunrise… and my sister “Shurouq”
(sunrise) awaits the sunrise… this is the life of refugees… from
exile to exile… the killing spreads and becomes as banal as
hunger.
