The Rights
of the Child
Kids Speak Out
Nine-year-old
students from the Amman National School express their thoughts
about the rights of the child.
The child has
freedom to have love, to have good treatment, to go to school to
learn and to have friends. I am a Palestinian child. I want for
the war to end. This is my hope this is my dream. I want it to
come true and I repeat this is my hope this is my dream.
A Child’s
Hope
I am a
Palestinian child. I want love. I want freedom. I don’t like
violence. I don’t want a sad life. I don’t want imprisonment,
but freedom. I only want love and peace between all nations. The
poor children of Palestine. There is no need for the suffering
of the child. They want a father and a mother. we all need that.
They need a name they need a country. To every child there is an
important right.
I am
Palestinian child. I want freedom. I want for the war to end. I
need a shoe to warm my frozen feet for the cold. They talk about
rights and they don’t implement it. Why? Not to go to school.
Why? Why don’t I have a shelter? It’s cold. I sometimes nearly
die from hunger and cold. It’s a very hard life. I want to be
happy when everybody is happy. I want to dance, I want to play.
All these are my dreams and I hope they come true.
I am an
Arabian child. I want all my rights. I want to play and have
freedom. I want kindness and love. I want warmness and a kind
mother. I have the right to learn .
I am a Palestinian child. I want this war to end I. want new
clothes and warm shoes. I don't want to work. I am a good
student. I want the child's right. I don't want Jail. I don't
want injustice. I am a child. I want peace and cooperation. I am
a child. I want my rights just like the rest of the children. I
want friends. I want a house to live in. I need a father and a
mother to take care of me. And I want this right to be
permanent.
