277 citizens including 44 children under 18 years
old have been killed in Tulkarem province since the outbreak of Al
Aqsa Intifada on September 28, 2000.
A
report prepared by IPC in Tulkarem revealed also that Israeli
forces extra-judicially executed 52 Palestinians, including four
children.
IPC report also stated that reported that the last of these
extrajudicial executions in Tulkarem resulted in the death of four
teenagers; Anas Abu Zaina 17, Mohammed Othman 17, Mohammed Ihdeeb,
16 and Majd Hassan, 18, and the injury of Tareque Zayet, 18, and
Samer Merey, 15.
The report highlighted that the Israeli attack against the
residents of Tulkarem refugee camp indicated that Israel didn't
respect the international laws and human rights according to
Article 147 of the Fourth Geneva Convention, which prohibited and
forbad any attack against civilians and considered it as war
crimes. Also, the 3rd article of Universal Declaration of Human
Rights in 1948 laid down that everyone has his right of freedom
and personal security.
The residents of Tulkarem asserted that Israeli forces
extra-judicially executed Palestinians on purpose and with cold
blood, despite that some of them were "not wanted" and unarmed.
The father of slain teen Abu Zaina said that his son was killed by
the Israeli fire despite being unwanted, and asserted that he
would complain to the Israeli forces in international courts and
demand the Palestinian Authority and international community to
reveal the Israeli racist war against Palestinians.
