  • 681 Residents Arrested during last September, a Report Says

Elasra Information Center unveiled in its monthly report the increase in the number of detainees compared to the last months because of the wide arrests raid by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in which 681 residents were arrested in late September .

 

according to the report most of the detainees were from the West Bank except for a few number of workers from the Gaza Strip who worked inside the Green Line, arrested under pretext of having no work permits.

The report, which a copy has been sent to the International Press Center (IPC), mentioned that Hebron was the most West Bank
cities, which was subject to arrests raid, along together with Bethlehem, Tulkarem, Qulqelia, and Salfeet provinces.

Elasra information center's report highlighted the increase of the arrest among the Palestinians was in the last five days of September when Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested 400 residents all of them from the West Bank.

The report pointed out that most of the detainees were of different categories not restricted to youths only, it also reached old men, children, religious men, mosques imams, tradesmen, charitable and social institution owners as well as large number of local municipalities' candidates one of them was senior Hamas Movement leader Hassan Yousif and Mohammad Nazal.

The report also mentioned the most significant violations against detainees during the last month inside the Israeli detention camps and prisons as well as reviewing the legacy of Gaza detainees inside the detention camps and prisons, especially after the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.
